Does my new home come with a warranty?
All our homes come with a BuildZone 10 Year Structural Warranty. Under this warranty Casini Developments Ltd are required to rectify any defects for a period of two years from the date of completion. After this time, cover is provided directly from BuildZone. For the purposes of this insurance, a defect is classed as a fault occurring due to failure to comply with Building Regulations in respect of the construction of the property. Full wording and definitions can be found in the Warranty documents provided to you at the time of completion. This situation is highly unlikely to occur as all homes are regularly inspected throughout the building process and must be signed off as Building Regulations compliant before we complete on any sale.

Is this the same as home insurance?
No. This is a structural warranty only. You will need to arrange your own buildings and contents insurance separately.

What about snagging?
Building a home is a big project and occasionally there can be some minor issues, from a scratched door to a cracked tile. Please check for any damage within the first 24 hours and inform us immediately. We will rectify things as soon as possible. We cannot be held liable for anything after this time. Due to third parties, such as movers or carpet fitters entering the property, it will be impossible to determine who caused it.

Will you provide ongoing information about appliances and fixtures?
When you move in we will hand you a pack with all relevant documentation in, as well as any keys or instructions needed. Should you require some guidance on any of your appliances or systems please let us know at the time of moving in and we will be happy to help. After that time, you can contact the manufacturers for any queries, we will make sure you have their details.
Please note, should any issues arise with your appliances, fixtures or systems after third party interference, you will need to contact them to rectify, not Casini Homes.

Do you cover landscaping?
No. All outside areas and plants are the responsibility of the home owner from the date of completion, save for any immediate snagging (please see above).
